Role: Embedded Software Engineer
Salary: up to £56,000
Location: Peterlee (some hybrid working is possible)
An Embedded Software Engineer is sought after by an expanding business who design and manufacture award winning products at their new HQ in Peterlee.
As a Embedded Software Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to develop solutions for sectors like Telecommunications Infrastructure, Critical Communications, Aerospace and marine.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience sought:
Experience of developing bare-metal embedded systems
Strong C programming skills are needed
Experienced in the design firmware systems from scratch, implement new functionality, and adjust existing codebases.
Methodical approach to creating reliable, safety-critical firmware.
Ability to troubleshoot, debug and improve firmware and electronics, working with other engineering teams.
Ability to write drivers for new peripherals and/ or communications methods when required.
Working with CAN bus is a desirable
Experience with unit testing and other software testing is highly desirable.
Experience with automotive projects or EV charging is desirable
C++ exposure is desirable
