Role: Embedded C++ Engineer 
 
Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 
 
Location: Remote, with a monthly visit to site in Bath, Somerset (or less)

Our partner is a fast growing and ambitious company headquartered in Somerset that is making a global impact in the marine navigation and tracking domain industry 
 
They are leading the next generation of maritime domain awareness technologies, products and systems that significantly enhance, security, safety and environment protection and sustainability. Their customers are worldwide and range from the largest national coast guards to individual vessel owners. 
 
They are developing a new set of products to extend the technological capabilities of their platforms; making use of IoT, integrating with mobile applications and increasing network interoperability. 
 
As such, we are seeking permanent staff to join the team; looking for experienced developers who are able to design robust software architecture, with scope for mentoring junior team members. 
 
This is a principally remote role with occasional trips (< 1/month) to the office. 
 
The candidate shall possess the following skills: 
 
C++ development 
Real time embedded systems development 
Software architecture 
Networking (TCP, UDP, multicast) 
Understanding of electronics systems 
 
 
Experience in some of the following will be desirable: 
 
Development using RTOS 
ESP32, STM32 
Keil µVision 
GUI Design / Implementation e.g. Qt, LVGL, touchGFX 
Digital Signal Processing 
Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity 
Wireshark analysis 
REST API / JSON 
Python development 
Embedded Linux development 
JTAG debugging 
Continuous Integration (Jenkins) 
Static analysis (QAC++) 
Unit and integration testing
